 Allegiant airlines was founded in 1997 and was officially named asWest Jet Expressin it’s official operating year, it changed it’s name to Allegiant Air after a dispute over the trade name of another similar airlines from Canada. Allegiant air started its operational flights after a year of it’s creation.

 Allegiant Air is the 8th largest domestic carrier that operates to 129 destinations within the United states.  It has it’s headquarters in Nevada, Us. Allegiant Air started it’s non stop flights between Nevada and Fresno in it’s initial year of commencement, being the only airline operating non-stop flights it gained major popularity among the people in late 90’s and early 2000.

The Allegiant Air is a domestic low cost carrier and had suffered bankruptcy in the last decade due to this major reason, the airlines doesn’t offer many perks to its passengers and believes in cost cutting.

Baggage policy:—

• Allegiant Air allows all it’s passengers to carry one personal item for free(like a purse, briefcase, or a small backpack)
• Carry on baggage or a checked in bag is subjected to fee.
• Passengers can purchase as many as 4 check in baggage weighing around 40 pounds or 18 kg.
• The bag size should be around 203 cms in height+width+length.
• Additional fee is applicable on luggage weighing more than 40 pounds.
• Children below 2 years of age traveling on lap of a fare paying passenger are allowed to travel for free.
• A fare paying passenger is allowed to bring a stroller or car seat that will be checked in at the airport at time of boarding.
   

In-flight entertainment:—

• As of now Allegiant Air does not offer any in flight entertainment services to it’s passengers.
• Wi-fi service or live television streaming and live music streaming is not offered by the airlines.
• Allegiant air allows it’s passengers to bring their own food on board which, however is applicable to fees.
• Passengers are not allowed to bring their own beverages due to TSA guidelines.
• Passengers are offered a variety of snacks and beverages on board that is subjected to fee.
• Passengers can avail wi-fi, food and beverages by paying a fee of around $3 to $17.
   

Cancellation and Refund:—

• Cancellation done 1 week prior to travel is eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellation fee is applicable on reservations canceled before 24 hours of travel.
• In case of no show, the amount is completely non-refundable.
• Any changes are applicable to a change fee of $75 per passenger within one week of travel.
• A passenger can avail trip flex offered by the airlines during the time of booking that allows to make changes even 1 hour prior to departure without any fee.
• Without trip flex, a fee of $75 to $100 is applicable
